This intermediate tactical course into firearms teaches the basic skills necessary to survive a life-threatening situation with a pistol. It is intended for students who are already familiar with basic firearms procedures and who uses firearms in tactical situations. Students will advance to exercise skills that will reduce their reaction time, allow them to shoot faster and with a higher degree of accuracy, and increase their overall confidence with a handgun in a variety of shooting situations and drills.

Students wishing to register for this course must be at least 21 years of age or older.

NOTE: This class requires that students must bring their own ammunition. Ammunition Requirements:    250 rounds of ammunition

Gear to bring to the range includes: Pistol, holster, three magazines, magazine pouches, belt, wrap-around eye protection, ear protection, and a firearms cleaning kit. 

Be sure to wear comfortable clothing on the range that provides protection from the sun and ejected brass. Also consider bringing a water bottle or other hydration system if weather temperatures are to be hot. Rain gear should be brought when appropriate as well. All firearms should be brought to the range unloaded and encased. All student-brought firearms will be subject to a safety inspection prior to live fire exercises.
